PROJECT SHIPLAP
AUTHENTICITY IN DESIGN, PRIDE IN CRAFTSMANSHIP
Project Shiplap is a flooded & gutted 1949 raised Acadian cottage in Denham Springs, LA. Upon demolition, we discovered the walls and ceilings were entirely covered in solid ¾” tongue & groove and shiplap antique pine boards. After removing sheetrock that hid these boards for decades, we decided along with the owners to salvage it instead of disposing of this beautiful material. By carefully removing the boards piece by piece, we then restored them before reinstalling the wood planks into this historic restoration project. Calling on the skills of artisans and craftsman from a bygone era, we are taking this project back to the days before drywall was king!
